Blog Post 6

  On March 14th, 2019 Alden Central High School had its yearly school day of celebrating wellness of high beings. In doing so students are required to select and perform several different activities in the middle of the school day as a way to teach how important our mental health is in our society. The activities chosen for my Wellness day were dating violence, martial arts, and some 90px workout session that never quite figure out what it was or why I partook it. For the first event, I had to find what room the event was taken place and according to Ms. Hake dating violence was in DLL inside the library and so I went to library and greeted several students. Then the speakers spoke for roughly 40 minutes about the signs and symptoms of abusive relationships and I listened for the forty minutes. It was an overall simple experience learning how other experienced domestic abuse and they dealt with and how to recognize the signs of domestic abuse. It was a solid experience overall it could be improved by a more visual than audio presentation or give a break in between. After dating violence,  I went to room 231 to do Martial Arts and the overall experience was alright as we practiced defending ourselves against the enemy and joked around with friends on topics. There would be nothing I would do to change the Martial Arts program as it seemed to be good enough as it is. For the final activity was a 90px thing and it would probably be the most frustrating event throughout the day. For it was like an aerobics class that started like the beginning of a gym class with a slow jog and begun core workouts focused on chest biceps and legs. It was insufferable as I had to wear jeans two sets of shirts and do aerobic exercises which felt like torcher trying to keep my body temperature at normal and after being sick with the stomach flu from the previous day. If I could change the class I would do so in an instance because it was so unbearable and that concludes my final event. When all events are put together it would be a 50 out of hundred as martial arts was good, dating violence was so-so, and 90px was just bad and so that how I put it as.
